Your colors stay on your device.

This Privacy Policy explains how the TxPick Chrome extension handles information when you pick a visible pixel, analyze page colors, copy color values, or save a local palette.

1. Overview

TxPick is a local-first Chrome extension published by TXERV. It is designed to help you identify colors on supported webpages, generate a palette from the visible tab, copy color values, and save selected colors locally.

TxPick does not require an account and does not operate an advertising, analytics, or cloud-sync service.

Important distinction: TxPick may temporarily process visible webpage pixels and page style information on your device to perform the action you requested. That processing is local and is not transmitted to TXERV.

2. Data TxPick handles

Visible webpage pixels

When you use Web Page Picker or AutoPick, TxPick may capture the visible tab temporarily so that it can identify colors. The capture is processed locally and is not uploaded to TXERV.

Page style information

AutoPick may inspect rendered style values such as text, background, border, SVG fill, stroke, shadow, and gradient colors from visible page elements.

Local preferences and palette data

TxPick stores settings such as output format, copy preference, recent manual picks, and saved palette colors in Chrome extension storage on your device.

Information TxPick does not collect

  • Names, email addresses, or account details
  • Passwords, authentication credentials, or payment information
  • Browsing history for profiling
  • Advertising identifiers
  • Analytics or behavioral telemetry

3. How data is used

TxPick uses local processing only to provide the feature you requested:

  • Pick a visible pixel from a supported webpage
  • Extract a balanced palette from the visible tab
  • Convert colors between HEX, RGB, HSL, and HSV
  • Copy a color value to your clipboard
  • Save colors to My Palette
  • Keep a recent history of manual picks

TxPick does not use webpage content or color data for advertising, profiling, model training, or resale.

4. Chrome permissions

activeTab

Provides temporary access to the current tab after you click a TxPick action.

scripting

Lets TxPick inject its picker or analysis agent into a supported webpage when requested.

storage

Saves your settings, recent manual picks, and palette colors locally.

TxPick does not request broad host permissions such as access to every website at all times. Protected browser pages such as chrome:// pages are not supported.

5. Storage and retention

  • Settings: remain in Chrome extension storage until changed, cleared, or the extension is removed.
  • Recent manual picks: remain locally until removed, cleared, or the extension is uninstalled.
  • Saved palette: remains locally until you remove colors, clear extension data, or uninstall TxPick.
  • Temporary screenshots: are processed only for the active action and are not retained by TXERV.

6. Sharing and third parties

TXERV does not share TxPick color data with advertisers, analytics companies, data brokers, or other third parties because TxPick does not send that data to TXERV.

Chrome and your operating system may provide browser, clipboard, storage, and permission interfaces used by the extension. Their handling is governed by their own policies.

7. Security

TxPick limits processing to the feature requested by the user. Runtime code is packaged with the extension, and the extension does not rely on remote executable code.

No software can guarantee absolute security. Keeping Chrome and TxPick updated helps reduce risk.

8. Your choices and controls

  • Cancel the pixel picker using Escape, right-click, or the visible cancel control.
  • Choose whether to copy a selected color automatically.
  • Remove colors from Recent Picks or My Palette.
  • Clear extension storage through Chrome.
  • Review or remove TxPick permissions at chrome://extensions.
  • Uninstall TxPick to remove its local extension data.

9. Children’s privacy

TxPick does not require accounts, advertising identifiers, analytics, or personal-profile collection. The extension is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to this policy

TXERV may update this Privacy Policy when TxPick features, permissions, or data practices change. The updated version should include a revised effective date and should be published with the extension’s public documentation.
